Photo by: Kimberly Rottmayer/Picture the SoundIt's official! David and I have been married one whole year today. Despite the challenges of the last month, it has been a great year for us and probably one of our best as a couple. I keep hearing the first year of marriage is the toughest, but this year has been pretty good. I only wish my dad were still here to celebrate with us. Our wedding day was such a wonderful day for our families too. I love remembering it.
This summer also marked 7 years that David and I have known each other. It amazes me how young it seems like we were back then, how different it seems like we were...and then how we are here today, moving through life together, evolving, and we don't even realize it yet. Today we went hiking at Darby Metro Park where we got married. It was almost as beautiful as our wedding day, although a bit cooler. And the trees look different. There was more rain last year and the leaves were yellower. We were a little more casual while we were there this time:
Today we actually spent time exploring. We walked down by the river and took pictures. It was great to be back there today and I feel thankful that we can continue visit year after year.
